This week, I decided to use up the last of my modeling paste as it was beginning to harden and get chunky—which made it unusable on my art jars. I also had a computer print out of my Indian Spirit painting—in which I inked in the faces so that my doubting husband could see them—that was unframable. So with Mod Podge®, modeling paste
, and scraps of paper, I sat down at my art table and created what my son has dubbed, “The Game Board”.

It’s just an abstract with lots of blue but it was fun to put together, nonetheless.

Sometimes I think you just need to let your creative muse get a little wild—even if you’re not sure of the outcome and especially if you think you’ll puke when you look at the final results. Because sometimes, the results may just surprise you and other times, it’s the process that counts—the process that speaks to your soul and cleanses you from the inside out, the process that reminds you to create without inhibitions, the process that heals.

Love it. It reminds me of two things:
Going with your son’s title the gameboard I would say “the gameboard of life” as it looks like a wonderful game to play
and also it looks to me like a lovely tropical underwater painting. how fun.
Christy that was so sweet. I love the tropical reference, I can see that. I keep thinking that if this had a nice frame around it, it would be perfect in someone’s home who loves the ocean.
